about

"Ode to the Future That Was" was created on a Sunday. Sunday tracks are special... We don't need to go to work during the daytime for a LOT of hours - Me and the other guy from kokori are tech guys and work at the same place nowadays.

So... the procedure for the 20th of November of 2011 was to fork +ko+ko+ into two instances during the day that would get Together near the night fall.

The first instance created a lot of samples and sounds using an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder WS-550M (stereo), converting them to WAV with mplayer and processing them in Audacity on an iMac and took them to the kokori session where Simulacron-4 was created (ask your gODs to ear it someday you poor ones left out of The_20th !! ).

The second instance was left with a huge responsibility. To create something...
"A journey on a train, alongside the Tagus river bank. The railway passes next to the cement factory and I am absolutely crushed and overwhelmed by the huge concrete walls and feel the weight of the industry. "

After the get Together of both instances they look and saw that they had a bunch of leftover samples from the kokori session, lyrics and a piano track in the head.

They got it all Together and in about a couple of hours (more than two and less than three) created "Ode to the Future That Was" in Logic Express with samples and recordings imported from WAVs from audacity (voices et al.) and a piano track recorded using one of the Logic pianos. Mastering was done by grabbing a quick'n'dirty pseudo-master preset from Logic.

(2) Send it in so it can be heard by everyone else who contributed.
(3) Receive a CD-R compilation of all contributions from that month.
